Frequently Asked Questions
At Aahs Spas, we want choosing and caring for your spa to be as relaxing as soaking in one. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from our customers across Kansas and beyond.
Where are Aahs Spas built?
Aahs Spas are proudly built in Kansas, using Kansas suppliers whenever possible. When you choose Aahs Spas, you’re not just investing in your wellness, but you’re also supporting Kansas jobs and craftsmanship.
Can I customize my spa?
Yes! We offer standard models you can personalize with features like lighting, waterfalls, sound systems, and extra hydrotherapy options. Or, go further with a fully customized spa built around your exact needs, whether it’s for social gatherings, sports therapy, or pure relaxation.
How many people do Aahs Spas seat?
Our models range from compact 3-seat spas perfect for smaller spaces, up to large 8-seat spas designed for families, friends, and entertaining.
How many jets do Aahs Spas have?
Depending on the model, you can choose from spas with fewer jets for gentle soaking, or larger models with up to 66 jets for full-body hydrotherapy.
What is a full body reclined lounger, and do I need one?
A full body reclined lounger is a seat designed to support your entire body from head to toe, with jets targeting your back, legs, and feet. It’s great for muscle recovery and deep relaxation, but keep in mind it takes up more space than upright seating.
What kind of maintenance does my spa require?
Aahs Spas are designed for easy care. Routine steps include testing and balancing your water, cleaning or replacing filters, and occasionally draining and refilling your spa. Our ozone sanitizers make maintenance even simpler.
Do Aahs Spas work in Kansas winters?
Absolutely. Our spas are built tough, with Arctic Pak insulation and durable cabinet materials designed to withstand freezing temperatures. You can enjoy your spa year-round—even when the snow falls.
What kind of electrical setup do I need?
Most Aahs Spas require a 240V electrical connection with a 50A breaker. Some smaller models are designed for 110V “plug-and-play” convenience. Our team will guide you to the best setup for your model.
How heavy are Aahs Spas?
Our spas range from about 480 lbs (dry weight) for compact models up to 1,150 lbs for larger spas. Water capacity ranges from 250 to 420 gallons, depending on the model. Let us know your installation plans, and we will work with you to make sure you choose an option that works with your site.
What optional features are available?
- Bluetooth audio systems with four speakers and subwoofers made by Aquatic AV
- LED color-changing additional points of light (POL) by AtekLED
- Additional waterfalls with flow control
- Wi-Fi enabled spa controls by Applied Computer Controls
- Turbo charging
- Air injector system
- Custom cabinetry and finishes
How long does it take to get my spa?
Because Aahs Spas are built and tested in Kansas, lead times are shorter than many national brands. Exact timing depends on whether you choose a standard or customized model. Our team will give you a clear estimate when you order.
What warranty do Aahs Spas come with?
We stand behind our craftsmanship. Aahs Spas come with a comprehensive warranty covering the shell, equipment, and plumbing. Specific terms vary by model, and we’ll review the details with you when you purchase. See warranty page for details.
How do I set up a factory tour?
We’d love to show you how Aahs Spas are built! Simply use our online form to request a factory tour. Pick a time that works for you, and our team will confirm the details. It’s the best way to see Kansas craftsmanship in action.
Can I get an Aahs Spa if I live outside Kansas?
Yes! We have dealers throughout the Midwest who can help you find the perfect spa. Visit our Dealers page for details on locations near you.

At Aahs Spas, we understand that every body has different needs. We’re happy to collaborate with your doctor or physical therapist to design a custom hydrotherapy solution that supports your health goals. From targeted jet placement for specific muscle groups to customized seating or loungers, we can build a spa that aligns with your wellness plan. Who owns Aahs Spas?
Aahs Spas is owned and operated by Chuck Maltbie, a Kansas native who has spent much of his life designing and building spas. After facing early setbacks and personal challenges, Chuck regrouped and reorganized, bringing decades of experience and determination into creating better spas than ever before. Today, under his leadership, Aahs Spas is one of the few manufacturers in the country that offers true hydrotherapeutic spas with up to 66 custom-placed jets, all proudly built in Kansas.
